The sweetest gift and Round Top/Warrenton Treasures!

My sweet sister gifted me with this fabulous blue jean purse. She has been making them and selling them for a while now. She really does a terrific job. The little pockets could hold a cell phone, or what ever else for storage. The inside is lined. The next photo is the back. Just simply marvelous! Let me know if anyone out there wants one!

Here is the back of this blue jean purse. Isn't it just the cutest thing!

Forgot to mention this last week. I've started making yo yo's to fill this glass jar. I have alot more to make, to fill this jar.
Here are my treasures from my trip to Round Top/Warrenton on Saturday. I had such a wonderful time with my wonderful sister and mom and my brothers mother in law. I didn't even spent alot of money which was great! I purchased a vintage apron, table runner, swan gourd, antique textile spools, and a chicken feeder, which I will use for a bird feeder. The textile spools I'm going to put my ribbon on for storage. I think they will look great on a shelf.

Many things to write about

I believe this is my favorite time of year! I had one of those weeks where I couldn't get a thing accomplished! The job searching is becoming such a thorn in my side. I"m looking forward to this weekend, it's Round Top/Warrenton time, for those who don't know it's a huge Antique/Junk/craft thing thats held in Round Top/Warrenton Texas. This is only the beginning to all the fall bazzars, craft shows and what ever else...It's just simply the best time of year.
Also just need to say that I did have 8 followers, not sure why one dropped, but it kinda made me sad to know that somone doesn't want to follow me. Oh well life goes on. Thanks to those who are still on my follower list. This is what I've been up to this week besides job searching.

Shopped at moms again, but it's really hard to see the Rooster basket, and the Rooster recipe holder. But the linen's are fabulous! Thanks a-bunch mom, Love ya!

Well I've finished the stitching portion of this little pattern that my sweet sister drew. Many blessings to her, she and my nephew had a car accident this week, I wish them all my prayers and blessings that they continue to recover! But as for this little stitchery thing ,I'm not quite sure what it's going to be. Maybe a small wall hanging. What do you think? Let me know.

I have these great fall buttons. Got them last year at the Quilt show, but I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with them. I tried making it my header but it's really big. If anyone has any idea's please let me know.

Fall has finally arrived, it's been cool here and raining, so yesterday I fixed stew and cornbread! It was good sorry you missed it! Today I checked the thermometer earlier today and it said 70, I can hardly believe it!

Finally caught the deer that been eating all my knockout roses, hibiscus. But if they mow down those canna lilies, I wouldn't care! Both of these are bucks, it's hard to tell.

Idly Hours Tea Room & Gifts

Today I went for my last time to a place that a good friend and I have visited on several occasions. It's the oldest Tea Room/Gift shop in Cypress, Texas. The food is fabulous, so is the service. Stella, who is currently running it is going to close it at the end of this week. It was once ran by her mother and father who is European. I hope that this is not a trend and these lovely little places like this don't go away. Thanks Stella for such a wonderful place! Thank goodness Stella made a recipe book, I had to purchase one so I could make my favorite dessert, and some of the other fabulous recipes.

Such a quaint little place, I'm really going to miss this it.

Feeling a little down today...please someone perk me up!

This weekend was "Winnie" weekend, for those who don't know it's an indoor/outdoor flea market. Antiques, junk, whatknots, plants, jewelry, and so on. So I went with friends, we had alot of fun, what would we do with out friends. Thanks Patsy and Julie! Also thanks to Vania of Fantasy Whispers blog who sent me seeds for a "night blooming jasmine bush" Thanks Vania, I received them! Caught a pretty butterfly on my marigolds. These things really did good this year.

The humming birds are coming around. Could never get a good shot at them.

Sparkles!!!!

While blogging late Monday night I discovered a good little saying.

You have to look for the joy, look for the light of God that is hitting your life, and you will find sparkles you didn't know where there. (Barbara Johnson)

Isn't this so true, we get so bogged down, (I know I do) with all the bad stuff that we forget those little sparkles!

Hope your week started off terrific!

Blessings to my sweet sister!

Well it's hump day as we called it when I was employed. I attended BJM today which is (between jobs ministry) it's amazing how many people attend that each week. They are truly a blessing to everyone!
But I really need to say in my post today that my dear sweet sister has been sick. I'm sending up prayers for her that she gets better! (because we have to attend Round Top at the end of this month) and she's one of my favorite shopping buddies! Also just needed to say without her in my corner (along with mom) I don't know what I would do. So here's to the greatest most loving, kind, inspirational, Godly, sister there is! This pattern by the way was drawn by her, and I'm currently working on it! The picture is very light but hey I didn't have time to fix it.
Thanks to all of you who are starting to follow me on this blog. I really do love it! And hopefully some day my sweet sister will be blogging right along with me on the blog.
