African crocheted motif

Howdy, just stopping in to say Hey.  I've been busy as usual, but just wanted to stop in post about my little motif that I crocheted.  I think it turned out really great!  What do you think? It's an African crocheted motif.  I know the colors may be weird,but that's the only ones I had available to try.  If you want the pattern let me know I will try to post it.

Just thought I would ask all you stitcher's out there if you have heard or seen buttons from "Just Another Button Company".  I had seen them before and didn't realize it.  While stopping for a ball of DMC pearl cotton I needed to finish a project I'm working on for my wonderful sisters birthday.  I came across these buttons! absolutely fabulous!!!  I purchased one to take the place of something on the project, I won't say what, but I will post photos of it soon.  If your a stitcher and need something great to add to your project, then go over and visit them, here is the link, they also have a blog.  I love how vivid the colors are.

It's May already!!! & Paper bag swap

Howdy!....hope all of you are doing well!  Just dropping in to say Hello.  Over to the right I have the link for Snickerdoodle dreams.  I have joined a "paper bag swap".  We have to send 2 fat quarters, a skein of DMC floss and what ever other kind of things we want.  It can be buttons, ribbon, rick rack, scrapbook supplies. My swap partner will then make what ever she wants with the things I send to her and visa versa....we then send back and get a great surprise.  Can't wait to see the outcome.  I haven't sent my stuff yet, I don't have mine all put together yet.
I had signed up for a swap with Country Pleasures for the May apron swap, but I never heard anything.  Sue if your out there let me know OK!

I really miss blogging & a Prairie point tip from my sister!

Just thought I would drop in and say a few things....first off I really miss blogging...and I hope to some time get back here.  I have just finished stitching a pillow project that I hope to share.  I have tons of other stuff I want to do also.  Have you girls ever tried to make Prairie points, well visit this website on how to make them without buying a tool.  Here is the link http://sewtakeahike.typepad.com/sewtakeahike/2011/01/super-easy-continuous-prairie-points-a-tutorial.html

My fabulous sister says to instead of making this with material first, make one with paper, I did since I wasn't  sure of myself to try on material.  If you mess up it's just paper, and besides I like the practice.  
I also have a question for all you embroiders out there.  Have any of you ever stitched on anything other than muslin?  I think I'm going to try my hand at stitching on something other than muslin (checkered material) to see how it comes out.  So stay tuned, I will let you know.  Thats all for now girls!  Drop me a few lines I would love to hear from some of you out there in blog land.

Christmas Memories!

Good day to all of  you.  I hope that you had a JOYful and BLeSSeD Christmas!  I spent time with my Brother's family and our MOM.  We watched a movie, had good conversation, A wonderful meal.  I'm so blessed!  My niece's received new Kitties from Santa. They are so sweet!

Patience & Prayer & Christmas Music

Howdy!  just thought I would drop a few lines and let you all know, (those that follow this blog) that I do plan to come back some time.  I started a full time job last week!!!! Yippee!!!!! finally after 21 months of unemployment, and several part time jobs.  Lots and lots of prayer.....!!!This job will only last for 6 months, but I'm hopeful!!!!
Those that think this country isn't in a mess, just talk to me and I will fill  you all in on all the hundreds of jobs I've applied to...all the many turn downs, no call backs...My hope is that all who are seeking employment find something soon.
I have some Christmas crafts that I need to try to sell, but I haven't had time to post them on this blog.  I do hope I can do that soon, but it's probably too late.

Quilt show in Houston

Just wanted to stop in and say a quick hello to you all.  I haven't be able to blog much lately, my schedule is crazy, but it looks as though I haven't even been missed one bit.  But on I go.  This past Saturday  I went to the Houston Quilt show.  What a wonderful quilt show it was.  Even though this year I wasn't able to purchase any thing I sure made up for it in looking and taking in all the wonderful new fabric lines, patterns, all the beautiful projects, stitchery and so on.  I seen Alex Anderson in person, visited Shabby fabrics booth, Moda bake shop...many others whoa!  what a day it was....and I'm adding the Scrappy Appleyard to my new favorite place!  http://thescrappyappleyard.com/

Fall/Halloween painted project treasures....

Howdy everyone, Hope you all are doing well!!! Guess I haven't been missed one bit.....no comments on where I am or anything...geeze!
Anyway I've been quite busy....I'm working 2 part time jobs now and I'm very busy...but I finally made a slide show of my treasured Decorative painted fall/Halloween items I've painted over the years.  I started taking Decorative painting classes in 1987.  This is only some of the my treasures.  Hope you enjoy looking at them.  The Scarecrow gourd I'm thinking of making some and selling them. Let me know what you think!

Stitching Project Fillers...are you with me on this.........

Howdy! Hope everyone is doing great!  I'm copying what Anne from Bunny Hill is doing,  "fillers"  but mine is project related, here are some of my many projects I've been working on.....
I may have posted this before but here it is again....I purchased this long ago..with hopes of quilting it for a pillow. I am working on it slowly.  I wish now I would have just machine quilted it and been done with it.  My sister could probably use this in her newly decorated living room.  Who knows she may end up with it.

Crocheted pillow projects......(hey what happened to my font)....

Not sewn together yet..but I'm trying to master a pinwheel block....wish me luck.....I'll need it!

I'm sure I could get loads of comments if I ask how many of you out there have projects that could go on into infinity........however long that is.........in the mean time....I'll keep chugging away and maybe someday I'll catch up!

Barks and growls...and miss my Tia girl

By request of my friend Audra, I'm posting updated pictures of the puppies.  So with that being said I have taken some more photos of the puppies.  They have really gotten big and are barking some and starting to growl.  They even are starting to hear my voice.  They are so precious!  When the time comes to sell them it's going to be hard to say goodbye.  But I still have them for a while longer.  

This first photo is an older one, they still had there eyes closed, but they all seem to like to sleep on their back.

This last post is dedicated to my Blue Healer that went missing last week.  She had an injury some time ago and slowly lost her sight.  She went missing last week, I have looked for her and also posted an add for missing animals.  I did even post one in my neighborhood,but some mean person took my sign down.  I put up 2 more, but so far they haven't removed them.  

Tia was my go outside and chase a ball kinda dog...go to the pond and jump in, and swim.  She loved to chase squirrels and birds.  She would roll over and expect a belly rub.  She was such a good hearted animal.  

I really miss you miss Tia!

Precious puppies!

Here are my pictures of my Lucy's precious puppies.  They where born on July 1st.  They are so tiny they fit in my hand.  Mom Lucy is Rat Terrier and Pop Hank is Rat Terrier and Chihuahua.   

Look at this little guy....he is sleeping so good........isn't he just adorable!

Look at those tiny little paws..and toes nails........soft little paw pads....Gods creation.......wonderful!
