Howdy all! Just thought I would post about what I won from Country Pleasures. Sue sent me the sweetest card along with a pin to wear, dish towels, & cookie cutter. Love my gifts! Thanks Sue! You made my day:)

Hello and Happy Friday! It's been another rough week, but I'm not letting the devil win. I was blessed this week by being able to take a "free" pillow class at It's a Stitch. What a fabulous class it was. The teacher is a quilter, teacher, and Bernina rep. The ladies where so nice, and they gave us the pillow form as a gift. I really love the Bernina 830 I used, what a great machine. Actually the machine did all the work. Hope you all have a terrific weekend!
From my Portals of Prayer book: You hurled me into the deep, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me: all Your waves and breakers swept over me. Jonah 2:3
Thank you, Father, for using our trials to refine us until we shine with the glory of your Son. Amen!
This is a little project that I'm working on. I've had this square for quite some time, I don't ever remember where I got it from, but I know that it is old, I thinks some of the material that was used is feed sacks. I'm hand quilting it and I will probably make a pillow out of it. I've had a request to do a giveaway, so I am thinking of doing one, I'm just not sure what it will be. So stay tuned.
Good morning, I thought I would share this new thing I've started. I have never been one to be good with putting words together, making them flow and sound beautiful just has never been good for me to be able to convey. Yesterday as I walked to the pond, I decided that on Tuesday morning instead of reading my morning prayer before I turn on the computer, that I would take my Portal of Prayer book and take a walk to our Pond. Thats where I'm going to say my morning prayer and spend time with God. It's beautiful there and a great place to meditate on Gods word. Who knows maybe it will help me think of what I'm going to do in my next job, or just help me get through the day.
Dear Jesus, Thank you that no matter what the day brings, we have the comfort of Your tender love, forgiving grace, and comforting fellowship. Keep us strong in this knowledge and faith. Amen.
Can't believe it's November already! Well I finished this little project I started a few weeks ago. It's one of the kits I purchased at the Houston Quilt show. This is my first mini wall quilt or hot pad. I found it to be really easy to do. I was scared of doing the binding but found an online tutorial that really explained how to do the binding. So I will be on to bigger quilted projects. I'm thinking I want to make a table runner. Possibly for Christmas. Guess I better get started. Any one wanting to give me some ideas on a Christmas table runner, please leave me a comment, I would love to hear from you.
